Sneak Preview of Brave Search

Brave is a new web browser that is meant to make life easier and more private. It’s designed to keep your browsing history secure so that websites can’t see when you’re looking at them. Brave also has built-in privacy features that let users encrypt their communications. It also blocks ads and trackers, while blocking scripts that can make websites slower.

Brave’s new privacy-focused search engine is currently in the preview and testing phase. Their goal is to surpass Google by indexing much of the Internet, respecting user privacy, and finding a way to allow publishers to correctly attribute content. There are many reasons why Brave could be an effective competitor to Google.

The people behind the courageous quest

Brave is a company that has developed a privacy-focused browser called Brave. One of the founders is the inventor of JavaScript and co-founder of Mozilla, the others are employees of Mozilla, Evernote and other large companies. Brave’s approach to the Internet is one that respects the privacy of users, as well as the privacy of the publishers who create the content that search engines display in search results.

It is a daring quest

Brave Search is a search engine that focuses on privacy. There are currently no ads. Bold search algorithm

Brave seems to be using its own ranking algorithm. If a user wants to see the usual Google search results, the Backfill feature can be enabled to display a mix of Google search results. Here’s his statement: Brave Search does not use any secret methods or algorithms to skew or censor results. For refinement, anonymous community contributions and community-created alternative ranking models are used to ensure diversity.

Content Assignment Brave Search and Publisher

One of the most bitter (and controversial) criticisms of Google is that it is willing to use web content without giving traffic back to those who created it. This can be a problem with some extracts, as some users may find the answers to their questions in the extract and not go to the website that created the content. The makers of the Brave search engine are aware of this problem and have issued a statement about it. Note that Brave respects content attribution, and we understand that good snippets can result in traffic deprivation (i.e. fewer clicks) for sites that provide content. We have to balance this with the expectations of users using other search engines that provide information in this way – not using the snippets would hurt the user experience. We have mixed feelings about the traffic loss problem and hope to find a solution to this conundrum soon with Brave.

How good is Brave Search?

Brave search is currently in test mode. Therefore, it is not fair to judge an unfinished product. However, the quality of the search results I’ve seen is remarkable in terms of usability. View More information below I’ve noticed some domain clutter in some searches, but it’s hard to criticize Brave for that since the search engine is still in the testing phase. Given this status, we can say that Brave’s search does a good job of categorizing useful information. For example, Brave search includes entities (people, places and objects) and can display new trends if an entity is associated with it. Better user experience ?

What sets Brave’s search results apart is the way it looks neat and yet does a lot. Each part of the information is located in a finely delineated area, making it easy to browse through the different parts of the search results. word-image-10243 Google places a Top Stories carousel at the top of the page and links to other informative features. Brave, on the other hand, shows the general appearance of a person. Google’s search result doesn’t have such clear boundaries between the different content areas, so it looks looser and a bit more chaotic compared to the way Brave displays the search result. View More information below I had never noticed before how crude and approximate Google’s search results were until I started using Brave search. Google developed an idea of what a search result should look like, and all the other search engines followed Google’s lead, including Yahoo, Bing and DuckDuckGo. View More information below After using Brave, I suspect the reason I haven’t adopted Bing, even though I like Bing’s search results, is that Bing seems similar to Google. Brave, on the other hand, offers me something different that suits me and makes me want to come back to it, something I haven’t felt with any other Google competitor. Before using Brave search, I was quite happy with the way Google displays search results. But after using Brave, I began to notice a lack of sophistication in the display of Google search results and wanted to return to the relatively relaxed user experience that Brave search offered.
