However, due to the great success of this trilogy, the creators decided to make a prequel trilogy which was released in 1999, 2002 and 2005. They were titled Episode 1 Phantom Menace, Episode 2 Attack of the Clones and Episode 3 Revenge of the Sith. The creators then continued to work on the films, including Episode VII The Force Awakens, released in 2015, Episode 8 The Last Jedi in 2017, and the concluding Episode 9 The Rise of Skywalker in 2019. Ultimate Lego Star Wars:

1. First trilogy: 1977-1983

The beginning of the first trilogy was as simple as Lucas could imagine. After acquiring the rights to a certain cell, he decided to create his own space opera, and the synopsis he wrote was approved by 20th-century fox, and the film was made. There’s no reason not to. There’s no reason not to. Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Kenny Baker and many other actors star in it and it is the penultimate film.

It brought in $500 million at the box office and is set three years after Star Wars. We see Darth Vader stalking Luke Skywalker and harassing a few of his friends. Eventually he catches Luke’s friends, who force him to become a Jedi.  In the final part of this trilogy, Luke Skywalker becomes a Jedi and fights the evil Darth Vader to free his galaxy.

2. Prequel to the trilogy: 1999-2005

The prequel starred Ewan McGregor, Natalie Portman and Hayden Christensen. Since then, Lucas has planned three trilogies. Advances in technology and computer graphics prompted Lucas to create a prequel trilogy in 1992. The first two films received mixed reviews, while the third film received more positive reviews. Set 32 years before the events of the first film, it shows how the Jedi Knights Quigon and Kenobi defend Queen Amidala in an attempt to bring peace to a major conflict.

These six episodes are collectively called the Darth Vader tragedy. The prequel shows the formation of the Father of Leaves and includes the process of the disintegration of the Republic and the establishment of the Empire.

3. Continuation of the trilogy: 2015-2019

In the fantasy genre, the main characteristics of the Star Wars films are chivalry and adventure. When Walt Disney took over, some sloppy decisions were made, but despite that, Episode 7 came out in 2015 and was very popular with viewers. However, the food episode received a lot of criticism and rejection, despite its success at the box office.

Episode 7 takes place about 30 years before Episode 6 and follows the journey of a young orphan who has Luke as his mentor.

4. Rogue One: 2016

She has also published two film anthologies entitled Outcast One: A Star Wars Story and Solo: A Star Wars Story in 2016 and 2018, respectively. Outcast One, directed by Gareth Edwards, is set just before the events of the first film. It tells the story of a group of rebels who are on a mission to steal the plans for the galactic Empire’s super weapon, the Death Star.

Donnie Yen, Jiang Wen, Diego Luna and others were featured in this anthology. It brought in about $1 billion at the box office. This anthology is in a different style than the original Star Wars films and does not include a wiper. It is considered the 30th highest-grossing film of all time.

5. Solo: 2018

The second Solo anthology was based on a different character than Solo and was directed by Ron Howard. It features well-known actors such as Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover and Paul Bettany. With a budget of about $275 million, Solo is considered the most expensive film compared to any other film made so far.

The film had its world premiere in Los Angeles in 2018 and was also screened at the Cannes Film Festival. The film was nominated for an Oscar for Best Visual Effects. Solo takes place about 10 years before the events of A New Hope. It follows the adventures of Hans Solo and Chewbacca as they participate in a heist in the underworld. The film was distributed by Walt Disney Studios and brought in $392 million.

The original trilogy is considered one of the best film trilogies in history and has had a huge influence on directors of the new era. Criticism is obligatory, however, and some argue that Star Wars puts Hollywood in a fantasy world.

Star Wars is currently the second highest earning film in the world, with sales of around $9 billion. The first eight films were nominated for Oscars and the first two films mostly won. Due to its tremendous success, the film series has expanded to various media platforms, including video games, television novels, theme parks, and comic books.
