On average, Americans spend about 34 hours watching live and recorded videos each week. That’s more than two-thirds of all their free time! The reason people love TV so much is that it allows them to escape from reality for a little while.

When we can’t find anything good to watch, however, we turn off the TV and pick up our phones instead. This blog post will teach you how to activate the peacock on your streaming device so that you never have this problem again.

Note: The peacock will only work on TVs, media players, gaming consoles, and other streaming devices that are connected to the internet. It will not work on offline devices like DVD players or gaming consoles that do not allow you to connect to the internet.

  • Find your device’s IP address Make sure your device is plugged into a power outlet and has an active internet connection. Bring up your TV’s menu using your remote control (consult its manual if you don’t know how). Navigate to the settings menu and select “Network” (or something similar), then find the sub-category labeled “Ethernet.” The IP address of your networked peripheral should be listed next to this sub-category. If it isn’t, don’t worry. Your device is probably listed in this table instead. Just click on the link that corresponds with your brand, then selects “IP Address” to get the information you need. Once you have your IP address, enter it into your web browser’s URL bar.
  • Connect to Open up a new tab and navigate to using your default internet browser (Google Chrome works best). If you did everything correctly up until now, you’ll see a screen like this:
  • 3. Activate Peacock Scroll down and click on the “Activate!” button underneath “Now You’re Ready To Activate The Peacock.” A new window should open up in your browser. Select the option that best describes your device and click “Next.” You might be asked to install a plugin, in which case just follow the on-screen instructions until you’re done.
  • 4. Activate Peacock Channel At this point, you should get a screen with several options for activating the peacock channel on your streaming device.
